Eric Owens - Former Blue Jays Assistant Hitting Coach

The Strike Zone is pleased to announce that Eric Owens will be instructing clinics beginning in February 2017!

 

Eric has spent the past 25 years involved in Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball in roles that include: player ('92 - '05), hitting coach ('08), hitting coordinator ('11 - '14) and assistant hitting coach for the ALDS Champion Toronto Blue Jays ('15, '16).

 

Eric now resides in Whitby and is eager to offer Durham Region an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of hitting. Check out www.ericowensbaseball.com to see what Eric is all about.

Starting in February, Eric will be offering the following clinics:

 

 

 

 

- Private Lessons (2 player meximum) *Players born in 2008 and older*

     - Times available: 4 - 4:50 PM -  March 2nd. 3rd, 8th, 22nd, 28th

                              4:50 - 5:40 PM - March 1st, 8th, 20th, 21st, 22nd

                             5:40 - 6:30 PM - March 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 24th, 

     - $85 for one player OR $65 each for two players

1995 American Association MVP

1999 first player to collect a hit at Safeco Field

2008 coached the Arkansas Travelers which won them the Texas AA league championship

2015 – 2016 ALCS Division Series with Toronto Blue Jays (first since 1993)

25 straight years experience in playing and coaching at a high level
